Team Gorilla
Team Gorilla is a community of local disc golfers with one primary goal: support Gorilla Disc Golf’s growth. We do that through event involvement, course support and course improvement, social engagement, and sponsorship outreach—so our local community has better events and stronger, more welcoming courses. We’re also here for the tournament experience.
Team Gorilla helps with setup, course prep, and keeping players hydrated and refreshed, while supporting a welcoming, well-organized event environment.
About Team Gorilla
What we are here to do

Grow awareness of Gorilla Disc Golf events and community.
Support tournaments with reliable, real-world help.
Strengthen local disc golf culture by making events easier to run and better to experience.
Build long-term partnerships with sponsors who make community disc golf possible.
How We Work
Team Gorilla runs on clear expectations and fair effort. If you commit to helping in at least one area, you’ll be recognized, supported, and included. If life gets busy, we’ll communicate and find a role that fits.
Values
Commitment with respect: We value your time and your energy.Community-first: Everything we do benefits players and local growth.Professional presence: We represent Gorilla with professionalism—on the course, at tournaments, and in communication. That means being respectful, following event expectations, and not creating drama.
Expectations
What “being on Team Gorilla” means
Team Gorilla is a flexible ambassador team, but it isn’t a passive “join and forget” situation. If you choose to be part of Team Gorilla, you’re expected to contribute in some meaningful way so we can support Gorilla Disc Golf consistently.
The expectation (simple rule)
Pick at least one area you can realistically contribute to in 2027, and follow through when the time comes.Contributions can be:Event support (setup/tear-down, refreshment station help, flags/signage support)
Pre-event course prep (OB lines, painting, flagging, etc.)
Social media engagement (likes/comments/shares and event visibility)
Representing Gorilla (wearing Gorilla apparel and being visible at events)
Other small tasks that make the day run smoother
Reliability matters
We don’t expect everyone to do everything. We do expect team members to be reachable, honest about what they can do, and willing to show up when they commit. If you’re not able to contribute right now, that’s okay—just understand that it may be better to step back instead of taking a spot you won’t use.
Communication expectations
When you sign up or commit to a role:Answer team messages when we reach out for event support.
Let us know early if you can’t make it.
Follow the role plan so helpers aren’t duplicating or missing critical tasks.
If something isn’t working (or you have suggestions for how we could do things differently), come to Blake first. Please keep feedback constructive and avoid spreading negativity or complaining to people outside the team. We’ll listen, talk it through, and figure out the best next step together.
Team tiers
Team Gorilla recognizes different contribution levels:Core Work Crew: reliable event support + hands-on help
Promo Crew: social + visibility (and help when needed)
Supporter/Friend: you enjoy Gorilla, but your help is limited—no promises of active duties
Clarity you can count on
To keep everything fair and organized, we use a points system and clear sponsorship/effort guidelines (explained in later sections). No confusion, no guesswork.
Team Gorilla Perks
35% Off Merchandise
Team Gorilla members receive 35% off Gorilla Disc Golf merchandise (in-shop/online depending on how you run it).
Free Team Shirt (Annual)
Each year, Team Gorilla members may receive one free Team shirt.
Representation & Visibility
Being part of Team Gorilla means you’re recognized as someone helping Gorilla grow. Representing Gorilla at events is a perk in itself—wearing Gorilla gear, being part of a team effort, and helping new players feel connected to the community.
Small note
To keep perks fair and meaningful, we reserve “free team shirt” and merchandise benefits for members who stay actively involved in at least one team area throughout the season.

Helping with raffle/product contributions (adding items or merchandise to raffle baskets)
Volunteering time to help raise support (asking local businesses, reaching out for donations, coordinating pickup/drop-off, etc.)
If money is tight
If you can’t contribute financially, we still want you involved. Donations of items/merchandise for raffles and time spent helping secure those contributions still count—your effort matters.
